To further promote roadside operator safety, the “patent pending” Dual Sided Manual Remote Free-Spool option allows manual free-spooling of the winch from both driver and passenger sides. Engage or disengage the free-spool at any time and feel confident that the system will always fail safe into the clutch-engaged position.
Keeping safety at the forefront of Jerr-Dan engineering, Jerr-Dan announces the “patent pending” Dual Sided Manual Remote Free-spool option, now available for 8,000 lb. and 10,000 lb. Worm Gear winches on standard and medium-duty carriers. Designed with roadside operator safety in mind, developed in close collaboration with AAA Northeast, this new option enables manual free-spooling of the winch from driver and passenger side of the truck. If the system is damaged or bumped accidentally, the system will fail safe into the clutch-engaged position. It can also be retrofitted to any Jerr-Dan carrier with a current single-sided manual free-spool option.
